Job summary

FRONTrunner Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Portable Appliance Tester (PAT) for work across the Luton and Milton Keynes areas. The role involves testing portable appliances on large commercial sites with travel between sites and potential bonuses for higher daily throughput.

The successful candidate will hold a C&G 2377 PAT course, have PAT testing experience, a valid UK driving licence, and be able to pass a DBS check. Company van, fuel card and equipment are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have C&G 2377 PAT course.
• Experience performing portable appliance testing.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent customer service on site.
• DBS check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Test portable appliances on large commercial sites.
• Visit 1–2 sites per day, with bonuses for a 3rd site.
• Cover the Luton area and extend toward Milton Keynes.

My client is a very well respected electrical compliance and testing company that has been established for well over 40 years, they cover all over the UK and can claim a lot of very well known companies and organisations as customers. They pride themselves on their engineers’ skills as well as always being one step ahead of the ever changing electrical regulations. They are NICEIC, CHAS, Safe Contractor and BAFE compliant and take their service very seriously to make sure their clients always come back in the future.

They are recruiting for Portable Appliance Testers (PAT), you will be:

• Testing portable appliances on large commercial sites
• Going to 1 or 2 sites per day – extra bonuses if you have to go to a 3rd site that day
• Covering in and around the Luton area and going out towards Milton Keynes

Salary and Benefits for a PAT Tester:

• 27k basic salary – realistic OTE of 38-40k OTE
• Bonus scheme for the amount of items tested per day–15p, 25p or 35p per test after daily targets are hit

Skills / experience needed to be a PAT Tester:

• Living anywhere around the Luton to Milton Keynes area ideally
• C&G 2377 PAT course needed
• Experience doing portable appliance testing
• Full UK driving licence
• Great customer services skills for when you are on site
• Be able to pass a DBS check
