Job summary

The Ritz London is seeking a Pastry Commis Chef to join the Kitchen Brigade. You will assist the Pastry Chef De Parties in daily preparation, ensuring high standards and full familiarity with menus, recipes and quantities.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for food, a background in fine dining, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining organisational excellence. Excellent English and a professional attitude are required.

Qualifications

• Culinary degrees or qualifications desirable.
• A passion for food and cooking.
• An eagerness to develop your culinary skills.
• Relevant experience in a Five-star or fine dining property is desirable.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills.
• Good command of the English language.
• Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pastry Chef De Parties in daily preparation of service.
• Be fully conversant in all menus, particularly items under your section and their recipes and quantities.
• Maintain high standards across the pastry section.
