Job summary

Monkwearmouth Academy, part of Tyne Coast Academy Trust, is seeking a Year Manager to support a year group with pastoral duties and to promote academic progression. The role is 37 hours per week, term time plus 10 days, with a pro-rata salary of £27,581 - £29,472 per annum.

You will handle attendance, punctuality, behaviour and uniform standards, act as first point of contact for parents, and may supervise classes or deliver assemblies.

• Experience supporting a year group with pastoral care.
• Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.
• Experience promoting academic progress.

Responsibilities

• Manage a year group with pastoral care and responsibility for attendance, punctuality, behaviour, uniform standards and academic progress.
• Be the first point of contact for parents and carers.
• Occasionally supervise whole classes during teacher absences and deliver assemblies.
