Pastoral Teaching Assistant – Blandford Forum

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic Pastoral Teaching Assistant to join a highly-rated ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted SEMH School located in Bournemouth, Dorset. The role involves supporting pupils with SEMH/ADHD/Autism. It offers an excellent opportunity to enrich and develop children's lives while improving attendance and attitudes towards learning.

You will work with an excellent team in a supportive school environment, playing a key role in student development.

The successful candidate will work with pupils identified with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), helping to improve their well-being and engagement.

Contract Details for Pastoral Teaching Assistant:

• Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
• Position: Pastoral Teaching Assistant
• Type of work: 1:1 Intervention / Small-Group Intervention
• Contract type: Temp/Perm
• Minimum rate of pay: £ per day

Experience, Training and Qualifications needed:

• Previous experience in education is required, ideally within the SEN sector, though not essential if you have the right attitude and desire.
• Experience working with challenging behaviour is advantageous.
• A passion for working with children with SEMH.
• Proactive attitude in the classroom and willingness to participate in activities.
• Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
• Level 3 Qualifications / ELSA Qualifications / Degree.

Eligibility requirements:

• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
• Two professional child-related references.
