Job Title: Pastoral Support Assistant

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic Pastoral Classroom Assistant to join a fantastic ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated SEMH School located in Eastleigh, Hampshire. The role involves supporting pupils with SEMH/ADHD/Autism, offering a great opportunity to enrich and develop children's lives while improving attendance and attitudes towards learning.

You will work with an excellent team in a supportive environment where you can make a difference, playing a key role in students' development.

The successful candidate will work with pupils identified with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), focusing on improving learning and social/emotional development.

4. Minimum rate of pay – £ per day

Qualifications and Experience Needed

• Previous experience in education is required, ideally within the SEN sector, but not essential if you have the right attitude and desire.
• Experience working with challenging behaviour is advantageous.
• A passion for working with children with SEMH.
• Proactive in the classroom and willing to participate in class activities.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
• Level 3 Qualifications, ELSA Qualifications, or Degree.

Eligibility Requirements

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional child-related references.
