The City of York Council is seeking an enthusiastic Pastoral Support Worker for The Danesgate Community, a specialist setting for 5-16 year olds with SEMH needs. You will support attendance monitoring and perform admin duties to create a positive learning environment.
You will work with the Pastoral Care Manager/DSL, use Microsoft Office daily, and training will be provided for Arbor; GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above are required. Enhanced DBS will be required.

The successful candidate will work with the Pastoral Care Manager/ DSL, alongside key staff and external agencies to provide an outstanding attendance monitoring service as well as fulfilling administrative duties to support and enable the best possible attendance and learning environment for our young people. The successful candidate must have excellent Microsoft Office Skills and we would prefer someone with Arbor experience but this is not essential as full training will be given. You must have English and Maths to a GCSE level C or above. This is an exciting and challenging position, which would start as soon as possible The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We require the successful applicant to undertake an enhanced Criminal Record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service. This post is subject to the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009 and as such shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a Disqualification Declaration.
