Pastoral Support Worker
Student Support - Progress, Behaviour & Learning
Start date: June 2024
Starting salary: Full time Equivalent £24,000 per annum / Pro rata Actual £20,709
Hours: 37.5 hours. 8am – 4pm. Monday – Friday
Contract type: Permanent
Term time only: 38 school weeks plus training days
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to support the Head of Year and Vice Principal with progress, behaviour and learning. If you want to make a difference and improve outcomes forour students - join our team!
This role will be to provide support, encouragement and pastoral care to students at the academy and to work with a range of stakeholders, parents, support staff, outreach agencies and other schools to ensure the safety and progress of individual students. You will be helping to improve the progress and achievement of our students and ensuring the development and implementation of the school’s safeguarding, behaviour and anti-bullying policies, in order to support students’ ability to self-regulate their behaviour; you will be part of a team that is child focused and changes young people’s lives through care and education.
Experience in Emotional Literacy Support (ELSA) would be an advantage but not essential.
This role requires someone with:
Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but is not essential.
