Job summary

Oasis Academy Hobmoor is looking for a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join our pastoral team. You will work with students and parents/carers to promote wellbeing, mental health and safeguarding, providing mentoring to help students engage with learning.

You will also support SLT in Attendance and Pastoral duties, helping ensure students are safe, happy and successful while contributing to a supportive community environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Ability to mentor and support students to engage with learning.
• Strong communication with students, families and staff.
• Understanding of Pastoral interventions and attendance support.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside students and parents/carers as part of the Pastoral Team.
• Support wellbeing, mental health, social skills and safeguarding.
• Provide mentoring and support to enable student engagement with learning.
• Support SLT in Attendance and Pastoral to keep students safe and happy.

About Our Pastoral Support Worker Vacancy

• To work alongside students and parents/carers as part of the Pastoral Team.
• Supporting with well-being, mental health, social skills, behaviour and safeguarding.
• Provide mentoring and support which enables students to engage effectively with their learning.
• Provide support to the SLT members who oversee Attendance and Pastoral, to ensure students are safe, happy and successful.

We have a modern purpose built academy with outstanding facilities at Hobmoor and we encourage you to come view them. We have lovely outdoor spaces including our own multisport pitch and greenhouses utilised in our roots to fruit programme. We are proud to work closely with our Oasis Community Hub (on site) who provide lots of out of school activities for our students and support for our community.
