Job summary

Oasis Academy Hobmoor in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to work with students and families as part of the Pastoral Team. You will support wellbeing, mental health, behaviour and safeguarding, providing mentoring to help students engage with learning.

You will collaborate with SLT to monitor attendance and welfare, contributing to a safe, happy and successful school community. Informal visits are welcome and immediate applications are encouraged.

Staff wellbeing is really important to us as is our CPD offerings, we're in a pretty unique place at Oasis having numerous 'subject specialists and lead practitioners to allow us to stay at the forefront of pedagogy & create shared resources supporting staff workload.

About our Pastoral Support Worker vacancy

• - To work alongside students and parents/carers as part of the Pastoral Team.
• - Supporting with well-being, mental health, social skills, behaviour and safeguarding.
• - Provide mentoring and support which enables students to engage effectively with their learning.
• - Provide support to the SLT members who oversee Attendance and Pastoral, to ensure students are safe, happy and successful.

We have lovely outdoor spaces including our own multisport pitch and greenhouses utilised in our roots to fruit programme. We are proud to work closely with our Oasis Community Hub (on site) who provide lots of out of school activities for our students and support for our community.
