Job summary

New Forest Care is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support worker for our school-based team on the Isle of Wight (split site: Sandown & Newport). The role, full-time term-time, supports the Pastoral Support Lead in creating a positive climate to maximise student achievement and behavior management.

Applicants must have at least 1 year in a child-facing role and provide evidence of right to work in the UK. The successful candidate will help implement action plans, monitor behaviour and attendance,

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a TA/Tutor or similar child-facing role.
• Experience in a school environment is desirable.
• Must provide evidence of right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manage behaviour referrals and incidents and monitor progress.
• Support the Pastoral Support Lead and form action plans.
• Record issues using Tracker and collate evidence.
• Liaise with classroom staff to support student potential.
• Support attendance and punctuality initiatives.
• Coordinate parent/carer/home liaison as needed.
• Assist with Individual Behaviour Plans and supervise students.
• Share best practices with staff and promote inclusive curriculum access.
