Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths qualification.
• Level 3 Education qualification or equivalent.
• DSL training or willingness to undertake.
• Experience and understanding of children within their family context.
• Awareness of legislation/guidance relating to attendance and inclusion.
• Knowledge of social/emotional factors affecting learning.
• Ability to manage difficult situations calmly and fairly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to produce clear reports, correspondence and attendance/family records.
• Confidence in IT systems relevant to the role.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral and operational support to pupils.
• Support attendance and safeguarding processes.
• Collaborate with staff to deliver a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist in delivering a proactive pastoral program and family support.
