Job summary

Justteachers Ltd is seeking a full-time Pastoral Support Assistant to join an alternative provision setting in the Wisbech area, starting ASAP. The role is long-term and temporary, focusing on behaviour support, attendance and engagement through individual support plans.

You will provide 1:1 and small group pastoral support, work with teaching staff, families and external agencies to promote wellbeing, safeguarding, and positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant.
• Experience supporting pupils in pastoral, behaviour, or alternative provision settings.
• Knowledge of behaviour management, safeguarding, and pastoral support approaches.
• Two education or school-based references.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Support pupils with behavioural needs using consistent behaviour management strategies.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and external agencies to support attendance, engagement and wellbeing.
