Job summary

Supply Desk is recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Pastoral Manager to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Portsmouth. You will provide high-quality pastoral care, build trusting relationships with students, and support wellbeing and personal development.

The role requires safeguarding knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to work with families and external professionals. A permanent, full-time position with an immediate start is available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pastoral, welfare, education, safeguarding or youth-focused role.
• A genuine passion for supporting and developing young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, approachable and professional manner.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: £25,143 – £28,546 per annum

Supply Desk is recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Pastoral Manager to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Portsmouth.
