Job summary

Ninestiles, an Academy, invites applications for a Pastoral Support role. You will work to support Heads of Years in promoting pastoral and academic progress across year groups within the Academy and with the local community.

The role emphasises safeguarding awareness, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach to follow policies and maintain records. Training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong track record of working effectively within a pastoral team.
  • Ability to record-keep accurately.
  • Desirable safeguarding training or knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Support Heads of Years in ensuring pastoral and academic progress of learners across one or more year groups.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure policies, behaviour and procedures are followed by all learners.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents, colleagues and the local community.
  • Contribute to safeguarding measures and feel comfortable with child protection protocols.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as Pastoral Support. The role is to help support Heads of Years in ensuring the pastoral and academic progress of our learners across one or more-year groups in the Academy. Working with colleagues to ensure policies, behaviour and procedures are followed by all learners.

Candidates will also have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, as this role requires regular contact with parents, colleagues, learners and the local community. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate that they have strong track record of working effectively within a pastoral team and record keeping. Other essential skill sets involve the ability to be able to work flexibly and prioritise workload, work calmly under pressure and uphold a professional, friendly manner at all times. It is desirable for candidates to have received safeguarding training or have good knowledge about the child safeguarding and protection procedures, however full training will be given.
