Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking a SEND/Pastoral Teaching Assistant to support primary pupils across the school. The role involves 32.5 hours weekly during term time, with PD days as required, working closely with teachers to deliver targeted interventions and 1:1 support. A Paediatric First Aid qualification is preferred or willingness to undertake.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and committed to safeguarding, promoting inclusion and wellbeing for all pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting primary-aged children.
• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH and pastoral care.
• Commitment, creativity, flexibility and passion; safeguarding.
• 1:1 support and small-group work with adaptable learning.
• Build positive relationships and promote confidence.

Responsabilités

• Deliver targeted interventions and provide 1:1 support.
• Collaborate with teachers to tailor learning to individual needs.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents and external agencies.
• Uphold safeguarding and GDPR guidelines.
