S.N.G Health Care Agency is seeking an experienced Pastoral Support Worker for a specialist SEN School in Southampton. You will support the wellbeing and personal growth of students and work closely with teachers and families to promote safeguarding, attendance and positive behaviour.

This role welcomes candidates with at least 12 months of TA experience, a caring approach, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a supportive environment. Term-time only may apply.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Pastoral Support Worker to join a specialist SEN School located in Southampton, supporting children and young people with additional educational needs. This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Southampton, Eastleigh, Totton, Romsey, Hedge End, Fareham, Winchester, Chandlers Ford and surrounding areas. As an experienced Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, emotional development and personal growth of students. Working closely with teachers, parents and external professionals, you will help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every student is supported to reach their full potential. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, safeguarding, attendance and student wellbeing while working collaboratively with the wider school team to deliver high-quality pastoral support in line with the school's values and policies. Please note: We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates. You must have a minimum of 12 months' experience working as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or in a similar education support role.
