Job summary

Erdington Academy in Birmingham is seeking a committed Child and Family Worker to join our pastoral and safeguarding team. You will provide practical and emotional support to pupils and families, helping to improve attendance, wellbeing and educational achievement.

You will work across all year groups, coordinating Early Help and multi-agency support plans and collaborating with children’s services, health professionals and community organisations to access the services families need.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
• Evidence of appropriate qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with pupils and families.
• Support pupils who are vulnerable or at risk of safeguarding concerns.
• Undertake home visits and provide direct support to families.
• Coordinate Early Help and multi-agency support plans.
• Collaborate with children's services, health professionals, housing providers and community organisations.
