Job summary

Erdington Academy in Birmingham is seeking a committed Child and Family Worker to join our pastoral and safeguarding team. You will support pupils and families across year groups, helping to improve attendance, wellbeing and educational achievement.

You will work with pupils, parents, Academy staff and external agencies to coordinate Early Help plans and provide practical and emotional support. The role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in our local community.

Responsibilities

• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and families
• Support children and young people who are vulnerable, at risk of exclusion, experiencing attendance difficulties or facing safeguarding concerns
• Undertake home visits and provide direct support to families
• Coordinate and contribute to Early Help and multi-agency support plans
• Work closely with external agencies, including children's services, health professionals, housing providers and community organisations
