Job summary

The Manor Academy seeks a Pastoral Support Officer for a six-month fixed-term role, working 37 hours per week across 39 weeks, alongside the Head of Year. The post focuses on behaviour, safeguarding, and parental engagement within one year group, with DBS checks required.

Experience in mentoring or youth work is preferred, with the ability to engage students showing challenging behaviour. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring or working with young people.
• Experience dealing with challenging behaviour.
• Willing to engage parents and carers.

Responsibilities

• Support a designated Head of Year with pastoral matters.
• Deal with behavioural issues.
• Support safeguarding work.
• Engage parents and carers.
• Support Attendance Officers with attendance issues in the designated year group.
• Encourage students to reach their potential and remove barriers to learning.
