Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Lead to join a secondary school in Dorchester. You will support wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and personal development, working with students, families and the pastoral team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in pastoral, education, youth work or student-support roles, with excellent communication and safeguarding knowledge. You will build positive relationships with young people and maintain accurate records.

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Lead to join a secondary school in Dorchester.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting students’ wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and personal development, working closely with students, families, teachers and the wider pastoral team.

The Role:

• Provide day-to-day pastoral support to students.
• Develop positive and trusting relationships with students.
• Monitor attendance, behaviour and engagement.
• Identify students who may require additional support.
• Work with families and external professionals where appropriate.

Experience working within a secondary school environment would be highly beneficial.
