Job summary

Foundry Lane Primary School is seeking a Pastoral Manager to lead safeguarding, child protection, attendance and family engagement across the school. The role includes line management of the pastoral team and collaboration with senior leaders, families and outside agencies. It is term-time only with a 37-hour week.

Enhanced DBS is required before any offer, and visa sponsorship is not available. You will develop a whole-school approach to parent partnership and coordinate parenting workshops and

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check is required before offer.
• Experience with safeguarding and child protection casework.
• Experience delivering training or workshops for staff or parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding and child protection across the school as first point of contact.
• Refer suspected abuse to external agencies and attend conferences.
• Identify vulnerable pupils and lead early help and multi‑agency planning.
• Monitor attendance data and collaborate with families and Education Welfare Officer.
• Line manage the pastoral team and liaise with families, social care, health and police.
• Provide safeguarding training for staff, volunteers and students.
• Develop parent partnership strategies and regular engagement activities.
• Coordinate parenting workshops and support programmes.
• Review and implement safeguarding and pastoral policies.
• Promote wellbeing, inclusion and high expectations school-wide.
