Job description

CORE Education Trust is a values-driven multi-academy trust rich in cultural and social diversity. Responsible for four academies in Birmingham, the Trust was set up to innovate through adversity and challenge conventional boundaries for our students. Motivated and inspired by our students' success, our ambition extends beyond textbooks and whiteboards; we are proud to work with the young people of Birmingham.

This role will be based at Jewellery Quarter Academy, an 11-16 co-educational school. You will join a learning community that holds high expectations and aspirations for every student. Jewellery Quarter Academy prioritizes each young person’s interests in every decision it makes.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our school is a place of possibility, and we believe inspirational staff can significantly impact students' life chances. We seek a Pastoral Manager who will work effectively to ensure excellent academic outcomes and collaborate with classroom staff to support students’ personal development, behaviour, and attitudes.

The successful candidate should be committed to improving the lives of young people at Jewellery Quarter Academy.

WHAT WE OFFER

The successful candidate will join a vibrant, award-winning learning community. The Trust promotes our CORE Values, which are celebrated by staff and students alike. You will:

  • Engage with cross-trust activities connecting students and staff across the city, including initiatives like the Echo Eternal Holocaust memorial arts project, The Great Get Together, and The COREus Choir.
  • Receive support and training to foster a positive culture of wellbeing for all students and staff.

We emphasize personal development through:

  • A CPD strategy supporting staff career aspirations and potential.
  • Access to experienced mentors with a strong track record of staff development.

This is an exciting time to join our forward-thinking family of schools, guided by a vision of optimism, ambition, and unity.
