Job summary

Healing Academy is seeking a Learning Manager to lead pastoral practice and drive a restorative, coaching‑led environment. You will work with the Inclusion team to maximise student attainment, attendance and positive behaviour, while building strong family partnerships and safeguarding with a values‑driven approach.

The role offers a permanent, 37‑hour week contract in a supportive, reflective school community committed to inclusion and high standards.

Qualifications

• GCSEs/equivalent required, including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Experience in education or multi‑agency settings is essential.
• Ability to relate to students in a sympathetic manner and recognise safeguarding concerns.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with parents, students and external agencies.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, SIMS, databases and web technologies.
• Committed to safeguarding and Harbour Learning Trust's DANCE values.

Responsibilities

• Pastoral & Behaviour Leadership: monitor student engagement, progress and behaviour using restorative methods.
• Coaching & Mentoring: support students through reflective discussions and goal setting.
• Attendance & Engagement: weekly attendance checks and liaison with families to remove barriers to attendance.
• Family Partnership: build positive relationships with families for strong engagement.
• Data‑Driven Interventions: use data platforms to design and evaluate targeted support.
