Job summary

Hartshill Academy in Nuneaton is seeking a dedicated pastoral support assistant to help pupils reflect, learn and demonstrate the HART values. You will work with the pastoral team to address behaviour, attendance and engagement, delivering high quality support and maintaining careful records.

You will build positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring pupils arrive ready to learn and access the opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in a school context.
• Ability to maintain accurate intervention records.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with pupils, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pastoral support to meet pupil needs.

Job Purpose

• Ensure that pupils are supported to reflect, learn and demonstrate the HART values of Heart, Ambition, Respect and Tenacity
• Address matters that arise skillfully and promptly dealing with behaviour, attitude, standards and engagement.
• Deliver high quality pastoral support to meet pupil needs
• Engage with parents to build and maintain positive relationships
• Maintain excellent records of intervention, supporting the graduated approach to pastoral support.

Hartshill Academy is a secondary school in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, for pupils aged 11-16. We moved into our new building in November 2023 which is set in extensive grounds.
