Job summary

South Lincolnshire Academies Trust is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Lead (SEND Focus) to work at Spalding Academy. You will provide targeted pastoral support for students with SEND, collaborating with the SEN Manager and Pastoral teams to help them thrive academically and socially.

You will have substantial experience supporting young people in secondary settings, a strong understanding of SEND, and excellent communication with students, families and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Be calm, resilient and solution-focused.
• Significant experience supporting young people in secondary settings.
• Strong understanding of SEND, child development and barriers to learning.
• Confident communicator with students, families and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Providing targeted pastoral support to students with SEND, including those with EHCPs and those receiving SEN Support.
• Coordinating and delivering early help, mentoring and intervention strategies such as emotional regulation, anxiety support and social communication support.
• Liaising with parents/carers and external professionals to coordinate multi‑agency support.
• Support attendance, punctuality, engagement and reintegration following absence, suspension or placement changes.
