Broadfield Primary Academy in Crawley, part of Kemnal Academies Trust, seeks a dedicated Pastoral Lead to champion vulnerable learners and deliver SEMH support. This role involves one-to-one and small-group interventions, safeguarding duties, and collaboration with families and external services.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years’ experience with children in education or youth settings, and hold ELSA/SEMH qualifications or TA credentials. The vacancy closes midday 16/10/2026.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience with children in educational, social care or youth settings.
• Experience managing challenging behaviour and supporting children with complex emotional needs (SEN/SEMH).
• Delivery of interventions and mentoring with vulnerable families and hard-to-reach parents.

Responsabilités

• Deliver targeted emotional literacy and SEMH support through one-to-one and small-group interventions.
• Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and liaise with external agencies.
• Support pupils through transitions and coordinate with parents/carers.
• Build calm, supportive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
