Job summary

The Macclesfield Academy is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Lead to drive student welfare, behaviour and attendance across the school. You will provide leadership and collaborate with staff, parents and pupils to remove barriers to learning and promote a positive school climate.

This permanent role is full-time (37 hours per week, term time plus 1 week) with a Grade 8 salary and start date to be confirmed. The post reports to the Deputy Head Teacher / Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Qualifications

• Proven success in improving student outcomes within a school or multiple schools.
• Knowledge and guidance around safeguarding children.
• Understanding of roles and responsibilities within classroom and whole-school context.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support around student welfare, behavioural and attendance issues.
• Work with staff, parents/carers and pupils to address barriers to learning.
• Ensure relevant policies and procedures are in place.

Salary: Grade 8 (SCP 24 - SCP 28) £36,581 - £40,444 (FTE Salary) / £31,563 - £35,685 (Actual Salary)

Contract type: Permanent - Full time (37 hours per week) Term Time Plus 1 week

About the Role

We are recruiting an inspiring and motivational Pastoral Lead who will enable all pupils to engage in education by providing leadership and support around student welfare, behavioural and attendance issues. This will involve working with staff, parents/carers and pupils to address barriers to learning and make sure effective policies and procedures are in place.
