Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a Pastoral Leader / Inclusion Support for a full-time role in Oldham (OL9 area), starting ASAP. The position pays £105–£145 per day, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience in pastoral leadership or a similar role within an educational environment.
• Extensive experience supporting SEMH, high needs, or challenging behaviours.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and trauma-informed practices.
• Excellent communication with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Manage targeted interventions for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or high-level educational requirements.
• Work closely with the SENCO, Head of Year, and external agencies to eliminate barriers to learning and track individual progress.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and support student wellbeing across the school setting.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar pastoral leadership, inclusion, or year-manager role within an educational environment.
• Extensive experience supporting students with SEMH, high needs, or challenging behaviours.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practices, and child protection procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
