Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a Pastoral Leader / Inclusion Support for a full-time role in Oldham (OL9 area), starting ASAP. The position pays £105–£145 per day, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience in pastoral leadership or a similar role within an educational environment.
• Extensive experience supporting SEMH, high needs, or challenging behaviours.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and trauma-informed practices.
• Excellent communication with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead pastoral care and inclusion strategies to foster positive behaviour, resilience, and student engagement.
• Manage targeted interventions for pupils with SEMH needs or high-level educational requirements.
• Collaborate with the SENCO, Head of Year, and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and track progress.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and support student wellbeing across the school setting.
