Job summary

Weldon Village Academy is seeking a Student Support Assistant to provide pastoral care and administrative support to the House Office and senior staff. You will engage with parents and carers and help manage attendance, reports, and day-to-day admin in a growing school.

You will contribute to a positive school culture, work closely with teachers and outside agencies, and support the Senior Tutor and Assistant Principal with timekeeping and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Good educational background with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience of administration background, education and working with young people
• Able to make positive relationships with children, parents, staff and outside agencies
• Positive and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative
• Knowledge of the need for confidentiality and awareness of child protection issues
• Flexibility of working hours, committed and reliable with excellent timekeeping

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and pastoral support to the house leadership.
• Act as first point of contact for parents and carers, facilitating communication between home and school.
• Oversee attendance, student reports, and other administrative duties in the House Office; support Senior Tutor and Assistant Principal.
