Job summary

San Carlo Restaurant Group in Greater London is seeking an experienced kitchen professional to join our Italian-branded kitchens. You will prepare and cook across sections such as grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry, ensuring recipes and quality standards are met.

You will oversee your section, supervise junior staff, maintain cleanliness and equipment, and collaborate with management to serve dishes promptly while adhering to safety and allergen policies.

Qualifications

• 2 year’s experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and highly organised.
• Proactive self-starter who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food in their assigned section of the kitchen, such as grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry.
• Ensuring that all food preparation and cooking is done in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
• Managing their section of the kitchen, including overseeing the work of any commis chefs or kitchen assistants.
• Ensuring that their section of the kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properly maintained.
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Adhering to company food safety and allergens policy.
• Maintaining accurate records of food inventory, preparation, and waste for their section of the kitchen.
• Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times.
