Job summary

Faros Restaurant London is seeking a Pasta Chef to join our kitchen and craft authentic Italian pasta dishes. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure consistency, quality and efficient service during busy periods.

You will prep, cook, season and present pasta dishes, monitor portion control, support training of junior staff, and contribute ideas for seasonal specials while upholding high hygiene and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing fresh pasta and Italian sauces.
• Ability to follow recipes and presentation standards.
• Willingness to train junior chefs and support the kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of fresh pasta dishes, including sauces, fillings and garnishes.
• Ensure all pasta dishes are prepared according to recipes, portion control and presentation standards.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation across all pasta dishes.
• Prepare ingredients and organise your section to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety and cleanliness.
• Monitor stock levels, minimise food waste and ensure ingredients are stored correctly.
• Assist with training junior chefs and commis chefs when required.
• Contribute ideas for new pasta dishes and seasonal specials.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver excellent food quality during busy service periods.
