Job summary

Braxfield Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Fire Safety Contract Manager in London to lead a rolling Passive Fire Safety Works programme across residential and commercial stock. You will work with contractors and stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant delivery on budget while developing a small team.

The role requires strong contract management, budget oversight and a solid background in fire safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex passive fire safety programmes and budgets in residential/commercial buildings.
• Background in building surveying, construction or asset management.
• Strong knowledge of fire and building safety legislation (e.g. Fire Safety Order 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021, Building Safety Act 2022).

Responsibilities

• Lead a rolling programme of Passive Fire Safety Works across residential and commercial stock.
• Negotiate, appoint and manage fire safety contracts with value-for-money focus.
• Manage and develop a small team; lead contract management and reporting on progress and risks.
• Oversee surveys, interpret Fire Risk Assessment findings, and translate into specifications and tender docs.
• Ensure health & safety arrangements, risk assessments, method statements and spot checks.
• Maintain compliance records and respond to enforcement bodies (Fire & Rescue Services).
• Maintain clear communications with residents throughout the works lifecycle.
