Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a Passive Fire Estimator in a hybrid role based near Manchester. The position focuses on evaluating tender documents and fire safety requirements, and delivering accurate cost estimates for passive fire protection works.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years in QS, experience in the public sector, and demonstrated knowledge of fire doors and fire stopping. The role includes flexible working options, salary around £45,000-£55,000, and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in the public sector.
• Knowledge of fire doors and fire stopping is essential.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate tender documents, specifications, drawings and fire safety requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates and pricing for passive fire protection works (fire stopping, compartmentation, doors, cavity barriers, steel protection, sealing).
• Obtain and review quotations from suppliers.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and internal departments to understand all specifications.

As the Passive Fire Estimator, you will be:

• Evaluating tender documents, specifications, drawings, and fire safety requirements.
• Preparing cost estimates and pricing for passive fire protection works, including:

• Fire stopping
• Fire compartmentation
• Fire doors
• Cavity barriers
• Fire protection to structural steel
• Fire boarding and penetration sealing

• Obtaining and reviewing quotations from suppliers.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal departments to understand all specifications.

Passive Fire Estimator required experience:

• Minimum 4 years' experience doing QS works
• Proven experience working in the public sector
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of fire doors and fire stopping
