Job summary

Niyaa People is hiring a Passive Fire Estimator on a permanent basis. The role is based in Manchester with hybrid working and involves evaluating tender documents, preparing cost estimates for passive fire protection, and coordinating with clients and suppliers across the public sector.

Requirements include a minimum of 4 years QS experience and proven public sector exposure, plus knowledge of fire doors and fire stopping.

• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of fire doors and fire stopping.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating tender documents, specifications, drawings, and fire safety requirements.
• Preparing cost estimates and pricing for passive fire protection works, including: Fire stopping, Fire compartmentation, Fire doors, Cavity barriers, Fire protection to structural steel, Fire boarding and penetration sealing.
• Obtaining and reviewing quotations from suppliers.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal departments to understand all specifications.

• Cavity barriers
• Fire protection to structural steel
• Fire boarding and penetration sealing

Passive Fire Estimator required experience:

• Minimum 4 years' experience doing QS works
• Proven experience working in the public sector
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of fire doors and fire stopping
