Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a Passenger Transport Officer to plan, procure, deliver and monitor a wide range of transport services across the Vale. You will work with schools, operators, service users and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transport provision.

The role requires knowledge of transport legislation, strong communication, and the ability to manage projects to budget.

Formación

• Experience of working within a passenger transport environment.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation including Vale of Glamorgan polices and Welsh Government legislation.
• Good geographical knowledge of the Vale of Glamorgan and neighbouring authorities.
• Ability to set goals and prioritise to ensure timely completion of work.
• Ability to delegate tasks and give clear instructions.
• IT literate and proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, procure, deliver and monitor passenger transport services across the Vale of Glamorgan.
• Work closely with schools, transport operators, service users and stakeholders.
• Respond to operational challenges and support day-to-day management of services.
• Contribute to rota systems, take initiative and think creatively to improve efficiency.
