Role Overview

This Merchandising Manager role covers both traditional Party items and Fireworks. You will plan and trade core ranges, coordinate multiple promotions, and align with key events across channels. The role manages a fixed buy area, Fireworks, which involves a niche operating model. This is a 14-month maternity cover position.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Drive the business towards profit potential in-season with a strategic activity program.
  2. Manage product critical path and lifecycle to maximize range availability and activity.
  3. Forecast sales, stock turn, and markdowns to optimize profit.
  4. Analyze sales data to inform range control, budgeting, and future season planning.
  5. Manage P&L for these areas, ensuring commercial targets are met.
  6. Collaborate with the buying team to understand customer needs and monitor competitor activity.
  7. Define and shape both short and long-term business strategies.
  8. Work closely with the buyer to develop pricing strategies and manage key product lines.
