Job summary

The Talent People Limited in Epsom is seeking a Parts & Stores Controller for a permanent full-time, on-site role. Salary £36k, Monday–Friday, 9am–5.30pm, with potential monthly bonus and benefits. Full UK driving licence required (3 points max).

Some out-of-hours work and lifting may be required. Reporting to the After Sales Manager, you will be a pivotal member of the team. Responsibilities include handling quotations, stock control, packing, dispatch documentation, and coordination with

• Must be able to handle quotations and basic admin with accuracy.
• Experience with stock control and store procedures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Office admin and stores duties split approx. 60/40.
• Take, compile and send customer quotations and follow up calls.
• Assist accounts with credit control queries.
• Handle storage, packing and dispatch documentation with up-to-date records.
• Process stock replenishment requests for van/site stores.
• Oversee unloading of deliveries and ensure safe working practices.
• Be responsible for health and safety within stores and risk assessments.
• Follow goods inwards procedures and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage parts returns and credits.
• Support service/engineering with queries.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery issues.

KeyResponsibilities

• Responsibilitiesarea60/40splitbetweenofficeadminandstores
• Take,compileandsendcustomerquotationsandchasewithfollowupcalls.
• AssistAccountswithcreditcontrolqueries.
• Operativetasksincludeensuringproperhandling,storage,andpackingofgoods,andensuredispatchdocumentationisaccuratewithup-to-daterecords.
• Processstockreplenishmentrequestsforvan/site/centralstores,includingconsumablesandPPE.
• Overseethetimelyunloadingofdeliveries,ensuringcompliancewithsafeworkingpractices.
• Beresponsibleforallhealthandsafetywithinthestoresareaandcompleteregularriskassessments.
• Followthegoodsinwardsprocedureforreceivedgoods,addressinganydiscrepanciespromptlytoresolveissuesandmaintainaccuratestockrecords.
• Managepartsreturnsandcreditrequestseffectively.
• Supervisethestorageanddistributionofwarrantypartstoenableclaimsforsupplierandcustomercredits.
• Assisttheservice/engineeringteamwithanyqueries.
• Collaboratewithpartssupplierstoresolvedeliveryissues,processclaims,andreturnswhereapplicable.
• Ensureappropriatecouriersareselectedfordeliveries.
• Managestocklevelsofpackingmaterialstoensureavailabilityalignswithanticipateddemand.
