Job summary

Solus in the UK is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to own parts performance across the repair process and keep our workshops moving.

You will lead purchasing, stock control and supplier liaison, drive right‑first‑time repairs, and coach the parts team in a fast‑paced bodyshop environment.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Bodyshop processes and safety standards.

  • Ensure high levels of customer service through timely communications across the repair cycle.

  • Oversee parts operations to support efficient vehicle repairs.
  • Manage parts ordering, receipt, storage and issue with accuracy.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure availability, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Monitor and resolve missing, incorrect or delayed parts.
  • Collaborate with VDAs and workshop teams to minimise delays.

As we continue to invest in our future and strengthen our operational capability, we’re looking for an experienced Parts Manager to take ownership of parts performance across the repair process.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the pace and pressure of an accident repair environment and takes pride in organisation, accuracy and supporting technicians to deliver ‘right first time’ repairs.

Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing
  • Accountability for ensuring high levels of customer service through effective and timely communications throughout the vehicle repair cycle.
  • Effective and timely parts purchasing, to supply to production departments ensuring that repair cost targets are met.
  • Performance management coaching and development of team.
  • Leading and overseeing the parts operation to support efficient vehicle repairs
  • Managing parts ordering, receipt, storage and issue, ensuring accuracy and stock control
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure parts availability, quality and cost effectiveness
  • Monitoring and resolving missing, incorrect or delayed parts
  • Working closely with VDAs, workshop teams and production to minimise delays
  • Maintaining clear records and ensuring compliance with process and health & safety standards

  • You will have previous experience in a similar role
  • Ideally you will have a strong parts background gained in a Bodyshop environment and possess strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • You will possess excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of Bodyshop processes
  • Leadership qualities

We always ensure our teams and customers safety at each stage of the repair process, ensure tasks are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety and following Audatex estimates, observing our ways of working and BS10125 procedures.
