Job summary

Rubix is seeking a reliable Stores Operative to support day-to-day engineering stores operations at one of our customer sites in the United Kingdom. You will help ensure engineers receive the correct parts and materials when they need them, from receiving deliveries to stock issuing and inventory checks.

This hands-on role requires accuracy, safety and excellent service. You will own your tasks, spot issues early and contribute ideas to improve stock control, transaction accuracy and overall

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse, or engineering environment.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Proficient with computer systems and Microsoft apps; willingness to learn Rubix systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check deliveries against PO; report issues.
• Store materials safely and label/organise stock.
• Pick and issue materials; record transactions.
• Perform cycle counts and stock-location reviews.
• Respond to customer enquiries and provide updates on order progress.
• Support purchasing, order follow-ups, collections and returns.
• Maintain audit-ready records of stock movements and receipts.
• Keep stores safe, clean and organised per HSEQ rules.
• Suggest improvements for safety and stock control.
