Aka Recruitment is recruiting for a Branch Support Manager in the Yorkshire and East Midlands region to strengthen the automotive aftermarket network. You will support multiple branches, drive operating standards and lead customer service excellence, with travel between locations and a typical Monday–Friday pattern plus 1 in 2 Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership and people management experience in an automotive or distribution environment.
• Proven ability to manage branch operations and sales performance.
• Strong customer service focus and relationship management skills.
• Solid understanding of automotive parts and trade sales dynamics.
• Willingness to travel between branches and drive/affiliate with UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide Sales support across multiple branch locations, ensuring standards are maintained.
• Assist Branch Managers with day-to-day operations and cover branches when needed.
• Coach and develop branch teams to improve service, sales and efficiency.
• Monitor branch KPIs and implement improvement actions where required.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training across the network.
• Collaborate with senior management on initiatives and policies.
• Ensure stock management and minimize losses across branches.
• Build relationships with trade customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Analyze KPIs including sales, profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Resolve customer escalations in a timely, professional manner.
• Ensure Health & Safety and compliance across branches.
• Travel between branches to provide hands-on support during busy periods.

Aka Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading automotive aftermarket parts distributor to bring you this exciting Branch Support Manager position based in the Yorkshire and East Midlands region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business where you will play a key role in supporting multiple branches, driving operational excellence and ensuring the highest standards of customer service across the network. Working Monday to Friday and 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, you will receive a basic salary starting at £42,000, along with an excellent benefits package.

Job Duties Include:

• Provide Sales support across multiple branch locations, ensuring company standards and procedures are consistently maintained.
• Assist Branch Managers with the day-to-day running of their operations, stepping into branches when additional management support is required.
• Coach, mentor and develop branch teams to improve customer service, sales performance and operational efficiency.
• Monitor branch performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans where necessary.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees across the branch network.
• Work closely with senior management to implement company initiatives, policies and business objectives.
• Ensure stock management processes are followed, maintaining accurate inventory levels and minimising stock losses.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers, suppliers and internal departments.
• Analyse branch KPIs including sales, profitability, customer satisfaction and stock performance.
• Assist with resolving customer escalations and operational challenges in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure all branches operate in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and company compliance standards.
• Travel between branches as required, providing hands‑on support during busy periods, staff absences or business change.

Requirements:

• Previous experience within the automotive aftermarket, motor factor or automotive parts distribution industry.
• Experience in a Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, Regional Support or similar leadership role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent knowledge of automotive parts and trade sales.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to improve branch performance and profitability.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using branch management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Flexible approach with a willingness to travel regularly between branch locations.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
