Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Parts Advisor to join a busy aftersales team at a leading commercial vehicle dealership in Southampton. This full-time position offers a long-term career with a high-volume workshop and clear progression.

You will manage incoming parts, maintain stock records, support technicians and liaise with service advisors to keep jobs on schedule. Monday–Friday with one in three Saturdays; UK driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Parts Advisor or Aftersales Advisor, ideally in a franchised dealership.
• Experience with commercial vehicle parts or trucks and vans is advantageous.
• Excellent organization, time management and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Competence with computerised stock systems and iPads or similar tech.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and record incoming parts and stock deliveries.
• Store and organise parts while maintaining inventory records.
• Respond promptly to workshop and customer enquiries.
• Identify customer requirements using parts catalogues and stock systems.
• Pick and distribute parts to technicians to support workshop operations.
• Work with service advisors and the sales team to keep jobs on schedule.
• Maintain stock levels and help prevent overstocking.
• Build professional relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
• Greet customers and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Follow company processes and health and safety procedures at all times.
