Job summary

Wessex Garages Holdings Ltd is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join our aftersales team in the South West. You will undertake servicing, maintenance and repairs, with full manufacturer training and ongoing support in a modern workshop.

You will benefit from progressing your technical career, working with the latest tools, and contributing to high first-time fix rates and excellent customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Main dealer workshop experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
• Diagnose and fix issues, including non-routine defects.
• Stay up to date with brand standards and training.
• Work safely and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Participate in regular training to develop skills.
• Contribute to workshop productivity.

We’re looking for motivated individuals who are eager to develop their skills and contribute to the continued success of our aftersales team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles to the highest standards
• Diagnosing and resolving issues, including non-routine defects, both in the workshop and during road tests
• Continuously developing your technical knowledge and staying up to date with brand standards
• Making the most of our facilities and processes to maximise productivity
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the full satisfaction of our customers
• Taking part in regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge

What we’re looking for:

• A full manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Previous experience in a main dealer workshop is preferred but not essential

Key information

• Working Pattern: 8:30am – 5:00pm Mon – Fri. 1 in 3 Saturdays at 1.5x OT
