Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Telford is seeking a Parts Advisor to help keep our workshops stocked with the right parts and to update customers at every stage of their journey. Training will be provided, and no prior parts experience is required.

The role offers full-time hours Monday to Friday 8am–5:30pm with alternate Saturdays, a comprehensive package including 33 days holiday and private healthcare, plus pension and discounts. You’ll join a supportive, expanding team.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is helpful but not required; training provided.
• Experience with stock management is advantageous.
• Comfort using computers; training will be provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify parts required for vehicles.
• Order parts from internal and external sources.
• Pick and pack parts for customers/workshops.
• Communicate with the workshop about orders and stock levels.
• Process invoices and payments where applicable.
• Review digital communications with customers.
• Maintain stock accuracy and assist with stock checks.

We’re looking for a Parts Advisor to work at our new branch in Telford. You don’t need to have previous parts experience to apply, as we’ll provide comprehensive training.

Hours

Full time: Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm and alternate Saturdays 8am - 12pm

About the role

Do you have customer service skills and experience working with stock?

Our Parts Advisors are responsible for keeping our workshops well-stocked with the right parts to maintain our vehicles whilst also updating customers in relation to their vehicle journey through every stage of the process.

If you’ve worked in a retail environment before and have experience managing stock, you’ll already have some of the traits of a successful Parts Advisor. You’ll need to be comfortable using computers, but don’t worry – we’ll provide all the training you’ll need to use our systems.

Day-to-day duties

• Identifying parts required for a vehicle
• Ordering parts from internal and external sources
• Picking and packing parts
• Communicating with the workshop
• Providing a quick and accurate service to our customers
• Invoicing
• Reviewing digital communications for customers
• Stock management

Essential skills

• Keen to learn, with a can‑do attitude
• The ability to work independently, but also as part of a team working towards the same goals
• A great communicator – friendly, clear and concise
• Enjoy working with your customers
• Happy using computers, although we’ll provide training on all the systems you’ll need
