Job summary

Kenect Recruitment are currently looking for a Parts Advisor to join our client on a temp to perm basis at their site on Belmont Industrial Estate. You will promote parts sales, liaise with suppliers to secure best prices, and work with the Branch Manager to hit monthly sales and KPI targets.

Daily duties include stock management, customer liaison, cash handling, and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed. Hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:30, on-site at the Belmont site.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of commercial truck and trailer parts.
• Ability to communicate at all levels (oral and written).
• Good telephone manner.
• Working knowledge of health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Professionally answer incoming calls with a view to promoting and securing part sales.
• Liaise with suppliers to purchase parts and supplies to achieve best prices and maintain stock.
• Work with Branch Manager to meet sales, margin and contribution targets monthly.
• Meet SLA’s and KPIs with the team to ensure targets are achieved.
• Carry out stock cleanses and transfers to meet preset stock targets.
• Liaise with local and national customers to secure future business.
• Assist in developing a customer base using truck and trailer propositions.
• Handle cash and payments in line with company procedures and safety policies.
• Support in promoting sales and delivery targets including over-the-counter sales.
• Assess local market conditions and identify sales opportunities.
• Comply with health and safety procedures daily.
• Understand and demonstrate company Core Values daily.
• Other duties to ensure smooth branch operation and deliveries by van drivers.

The Role

• Professionally answer incoming calls with a view to promoting and securing part sales.
• Liaise with suppliers to purchase parts and supplies to achieve the best prices possible and maintain current stock levels.
• Work closely with the Branch Manager to achieve sales, margin & contribution targets on a monthly basis.
• Work as part of a team to meet and exceed all existing head office and local customer service level agreements (SLA’s) and agreed KPI’s ensuring targets are achieved.
• Carry out stock cleanses, action internal transfers quickly and efficiently to meet pre-set stock targets.
• Liaising with local and national customers and ensuring that good customer service is always offered to increase future business.
• Assist in identifying and building a customer base to increase sales fully utilising the truck and trailer proposition on offer within the business.
• Confident and reliable to handle cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and policies, always with staff and customer safety as the uppermost priority.
• Work with the parts team to Promote sales and delivery targets, including over counter sales.
• Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
• Always Comply to company health and safety procedures.
• Understand, work to and demonstrate the company Core Values daily.
• Other duties as may be required to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Work with the van drivers to make sure all deliveries are achieved in a timely manner.
