Job summary

The AA is seeking a Partnerships Manager to shape insurer collaborations across motor, home and van insurance. You will build long-term relationships, use trading insight and stakeholder influence to grow portfolio value and expand our broker footprint.

You will balance commercial opportunities with regulatory and customer considerations, negotiating effectively with partners and turning performance data into actionable steps.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in the insurance industry with strong personal lines knowledge.
  • Established network of contacts within the insurance industry and third-party relationships.
  • Deep understanding of personal lines distribution dynamics and trading metrics.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills to meet commercial objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with awareness of compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop strategic insurer relationships to support portfolio growth and maximise value across motor, home and van insurance.
  • Develop relationships with potential partners to broaden the broker footprint and improve quotability.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver panel developments supporting commercial and customer outcomes.
  • Monitor and communicate panel trading performance, highlighting material movements and using insight to act.
  • Improve panel trading MI to generate stronger insight, efficiency and trading performance.
  • Research market and insurer product developments, make recommendations and lead supplier negotiations as needed.
  • Oversee third-party relationship governance, including contracts, policy alignment, audits and regulatory performance.

Job Description

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the insurer partnerships that support the growth and performance of The AA’s personal lines insurance portfolio.

As Partnerships Manager, you’ll develop and sustain long-term relationships with strategic insurance partners across motor, home and van insurance. You’ll use trading insight, commercial judgement and strong stakeholder relationships to grow portfolio value, broaden our broker footprint and support outcomes that work for both customers and the business.

You’ll be comfortable influencing and negotiating with partners, turning performance data into clear action and balancing commercial opportunities with regulatory and customer considerations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and develop strategic insurer relationships to support portfolio growth and maximise value across motor, home and van insurance.
  • Develop relationships with potential partners to broaden the broker footprint and improve quotability.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver panel developments that support strong commercial and customer outcomes.

  • Research relevant market and insurer product developments, make recommendations and lead supplier negotiations where appropriate.
  • Oversee third-party relationship governance, including legal agreements, policy alignment, audits and regulatory performance, taking appropriate action where needed.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience within the insurance industry, with strong knowledge of personal lines insurance and broking.
  • An established network of contacts within the insurance industry and experience managing multiple third-party relationships.
  • In-depth understanding of personal lines distribution dynamics and insurance trading metrics.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to achieve commercial objectives while sustaining long-term relationships.
  • Strong analytical and management information skills, with the ability to interpret performance and turn insight into action.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside knowledge of relevant compliance requirements.
