Our Finance team are looking for an experienced Partnership Accountant to join the team.
As part of Baringa's finance team, thePartner Finance team prides itself on providing an exemplary service to partners as shareholders ofthe business - from onboarding, their time as active partners and also as theyexit the partnership. We are embarking on an exciting journey of building ourshareholder finance provision into one that still feels personal but is processdriven, fully tech-enabled and scalable.
What you will be doing
With the support of the Director of Partner Finance, a keyfocus will be partner compensation for our 200 global partners including thecalculation of partner remuneration, projections, and distributions. We are atan exciting phase in the evolution of Partner Finance, embarking on areplatforming of our complex model and revamp of our partner collateral, andyour role will be pivotal in the support and implementation of this.
The key responsibilities include:- Partner compensation
Deep understanding of Baringa's partnership model, and calculation of annual profit sharing, equity points issue and allocation of valuation across all partners
Calculation of quarterly partner capital distributions
Delivery of the bi-annual individual partners' financial detail (aka "financial strips") to all partners in line with the agreed timetable
Preparation of annual financial projections for existing and prospective Partners
Support in the design and application of global partner tax reserving - Partner support
Technical expert and trusted advisor to partners, including presenting to partners via Q&A sessions and 1:1 presentations
Support the end of year partner performance process with provision of financial information
Maintain financial information as set out in the Partnership Finance Handbook and issue to partners on request - Enhancement of Partner Finance offering
Integral part in the testing and implementation of tech-transformed partner allocation model
Work with the Director of Partner Finance to provide updates and improvements to materials and processes supporting the onboarding of partners, and those relating to existing and retiring partners.
Your skills and experience- ACA/CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified accountant, preferably with experience gained in a large practice and/or professional services environment
- Experience of partnership accounting preferred
- Demonstrable attention to detail and desire to deliver a first-rate service, with a solutions-orientated mindset
- An excellent communicator, confident when communicating with partners and staff at all levels
- A track record of effective team working, inside and outside of the finance team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change
- Experience of working in an international and multi-currency business
