About the Role

We are looking to recruit a technically capable corporate lawyer with experience advising on buy-side and sell-side transactions, reorganisations, and corporate joint ventures. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the law, be able to think commercially and analytically, and provide practical advice tailored to clients' needs. This role involves managing transactions independently, supervising junior team members, and supporting the growth of our Bristol corporate team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advise on corporate transactions, including M&A, reorganisations, and joint ventures.
2. Manage transactions independently and supervise junior team members.
3. Work with startups, owner-managed businesses, large corporates, PE houses, and funds.
4. Participate in business development activities, including networking, tenders, and drafting articles.
5. Support practice development and marketing efforts.
6. Maintain and develop client relationships, especially within the Bristol region.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Experience advising on buy-side and sell-side transactions.
2. Specialist experience in private equity, venture capital, EOT transactions, or share incentive schemes is advantageous.
3. Ability to manage transactions independently and supervise junior staff.
4. Experience working with startups, owner-managed, and family businesses, as well as large corporate clients.
5. Knowledge of motivating and supporting junior staff.
