Job summary

Ark Victoria Academy in Birmingham is seeking a committed Year 4 classroom teacher on a fixed-term, part-time (0.4) contract starting 2 November 2026, until Easter 2027 with potential extension. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to our ambitious curriculum and monitor progress.

The role requires UK teaching qualification at degree level or above, a track record of supporting pupil attainment and strong classroom management.

• Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of pedagogy

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned to the school's ambitious curriculum
• Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Support pupils' personal development and well-being, enabling them to grow in confidence and character
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the school's curriculum
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals to support pupil achievement
