Job summary

Colchester Institute's Welfare and Safeguarding Team is seeking a part-time, term-time post of 37 hours a week over 38 weeks. The post-holder provides first-response welfare and safeguarding support to enrolled students aged 16 to 19, chairs meetings, and coordinates referrals to partners such as social workers.

Candidates should have Level 2 English and maths and education at level 3 or above, plus experience with homelessness, safeguarding case management, and supporting vulnerable young

Qualifications

• Recent experience supporting young people in similar welfare roles.
• Experience handling safeguarding referrals and multi-agency liaising.
• Ability to chair support and multi-agency meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-response welfare and safeguarding support to enrolled students.
• Assist with transition and removal of barriers to learning.
• Work with curriculum teams, social workers, parents and carers, and other agencies.
• Chair support meetings and multi-agency meetings.
